Wer kennt Sie noch? Die Spiele aus unserer Jugend. Ob Pac Man, Tetris oder Zelda - für viele waren die 2D Grafik-Spiele aus der Retro-Zeit eine echte Erfrischung in langweiligen Alltagssituationen.
Die weltweit erste Spielekonsole erblickte im Jahre 1968 das Licht der Welt und ist dem Konstrukteur Ralph Baer zu verdanken. Da diese Spielekonsole erstmals an dem Fernseher angeschlossen werden konnte, nannte man sie auch „Telespiele“.
Eines der ersten Spiele war darunter „Pong“. Die Idee des Spiels war gänzlich einfach. Zwei Striche und ein Ball. Es ähnelte einem virtuellen Tischtennisspiel mit dem einen Unterschied, dass man den Ball im Aus nicht suchen musste. Im Vergleich zu heutigen Spielen wie „World of Warcraft“ oder „Need for Speed“ ist das Spiel eher zum Gähnen langweilig.
Im Laufe der Zeit kamen weitere ähnliche Spiele auf dem Markt, wie beispielsweise Pac Man bei dem man als Geist Punkte einsammelt und vor bösen Fress-Monstern flüchtet.
1983 brachte auch SEGA seine erste Spielekonsole auf dem Markt, mit der auch das heißbeliebte Spiel „Sonic“ erschien. Auch Nintendo wurde mit der Zeit bekannter und stand mit seinem Spiel „Super Mario“ als ebenbürtiger Konkurrent gegenüber. Beide namenhaften Spiele-Firmen stellen heute die Wegbereiter der heutigen Spielewelt dar.
Mitterweile kann man zu Recht behaupten das sich in der Welt der Konsolen so einiges geändert hat. Anfangs mit Spielekassetten in Format von kleines Kassettenrecorders, über CDs, bis hin zur unserer heutigen Blue-Ray oder Spiele-Möglichkeit über das World Wide Web.
Keine Branche hat sich so revolutioniert wie die Welt der Spielekonsolen.
